Or something else would have triggered it and he'd be in the same situation. You don't know that you're the only possible reason his Salvatore memories flared up.

I mean, it's definitely worrying, don't get me wrong. But if he loves you as he says he does, he shouldn't cut and run at the first sign of trouble. You talk things out, you try to find a workaround.
